Magazine Ads

Good information.

In the present economic situation if you are looking to get your message across to people and advertising your business without spending loads of money, then you can opt for traditional outlets like print advertising agencies. These agencies can offer you classified ad space at special discounts. This is also a great opportunity especially if you are setting up a new business or are tight on your advertising budget.

When you use a professional ad agency, you tend to receive an early notice of the special offers and prices and also a considerable reduction in the advertising rate for national press. So help your business grow by promoting it in the low priced publications. Use print media to cut your costs and boost your advertising efforts in this growing economic recession.

You may or may not know, my husband writes books. He has published them, till recently, with a small niche publisher. He's on his fifth book now and this one will be an e-book though he's received various offers from publishers to do it the old fashioned way.

The advantages of going with a large publisher or a networked publisher are simply that you get your book into the mainstream bookstores and thus have a chance of reaching a larger audience and selling more copies. And usually the author will receive an advance, which can help pay for research or motivation :)

But the advantages of self-publishing or web-publishing are that the author keeps more royalties and has more control over the finished product. Additionally, with web-publishing, you get to save some trees and it's easier to reach some audiences. I think web-publishing is particularly suited for things like animal rights because the target audience is relatively small, separated all over the world, and most have access to the web.

I've definitely got a book or two in me. That's for sure. Give me a few more years and you'll see my name on a bookshelf somewhere ;)

I only have a blog or two in me, plus shooting my mouth off here.

I have an epic Sci-Fi drama in me... Where some zoonotic plague makes it necessary to reconfigure the whole of man to plant based sustenance. Enroute there would be lots of issues with air and water contamination from animal agriculture. There would be physical diseases/illnesses like cancers, diabetes, obesity, etc. And pathenogens/bacterial issues as well, like CDJ, CWD, BSE, listeria, ecoli and salmonella poisonings... As a result, all of mankind would have to figure out how to manage without consuming flesh. Oh shoot! Did I just give away my story line?
