Bananas, what a national security issue. I’m not denying that the U.S has flexed its muscle in the past, but the U.S. isn’t worried about wage increases in S. America. The only interest we have regarding S. America is their natural resources.

Of course S. America is complaining about trade. They want us to open up our borders, but that is nothing new with foreign nations. The premise that the U.S. was part of a coup to overthrow the Honduran President to prevent wage increases is BS

Paul

Well, of course U.S. is interested in wage issues. You see, there's more than a nation in the business, there are the enterprises, who actually own most of the states. The wage politics are important to their success.

Great, that you took time to post about this issue. These are not too well reported, even on this other side of the sea. Especially to the north the news come through official U.S. control and thus our news are always about terrible Latin American commie dictators suppressing

It is very important to notice how these interventions in south continue during Obama's reign. Just because a change is promised, doesn't mean we should not watch that good, fair politics would really be realized. And anyway, what is done and what happens should be reported. So that people would know it and make their minds according to that.

Would you mind if I posted this on my blog, just to spread the report? It is excellent. If not, I can at least put a link to here and write few words about it in Finnish. Not that I would have a lot of readers, but perhaps somebody would copy it from my page.

Of course you can post it, Paul, and please encourage your readerst to read "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" and "The Secret History of the American Empire," the first of which has been translated into a handful of languages: http://www.johnperkins.org/john_perkins_books.html

You have to hand to these do-good animal rights activists. Let's threaten human lives for non-humans. That will get the job done.
