Merry Christmas to you and thank you for all you do to make the world a better place. We in the Yukon have a big problem with homeless youth. Our territorial politicians recently voted themselves a huge Christmas bonu$. We have a local youth group here who is trying to raise money to build a homeless shelter in Whitehorse, or to buy and renovate an existing building. Young people are forced to exchange their bodies in order to find a warm place to stay in the winter. One of the members of the youth group who had been one of the shining examples of how youth could improve their lives despite all the suffering they have endured was found (after many months of searching), at the side of a road outside of Whitehorse (her name was Angel Carlick).

Our Yukon Territory is very well off financially and our territorial government and our First Nations governments can't get their acts together to take care of youth or our domestic animals. There is also a lot of greed and blood lust in people wanting to 'harvest' (trap/shoot/kill) wild animals including wolves.

Thank you again Mary. You and the Animal Advocates Society of British Columbia ( http://animaladvocates.com ) overwhelm me with all I need to know about making the world a more humane place.
