Poplar Spring Calendar Available!

As you may know, Deb Durant of Invisible Voices takes gorgeous photos and decided to create a calendar for Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary in Maryland, where she volunteers weekly. The project was a labor of love and Deb is donating all the profits to the sanctuary. I was watching Whale Wars last night (DVR'ed it), and a new crew member, from the US, saw a whale up close (ish) for the first time and spoke about how profound the experience was. He said once you've seen one you'll do "anything in your human power" to stop someone from hurting them. He said, "It's like meeting your new employer for the first time." I wouldn't have thought of it that way, but I like it.

And I like the idea of a calendar that shows me who my "employers" are and reminds me of what life for more of them could be like. Should be like.
