For Pizza Heads

We all know that pizza is often the one food that stands between a vegetarian and her potential veganism. Last night my husband brought home a vegan pizza from Pizza Fusion, whose motto is: Saving the Earth, one pizza at a time. It was delicious, even after being in a car for 10 minutes.

Pizza Fusion in reality is a welfarist’s dream–at least the way it’s described on its website. It’s also great for enviros who don’t dig too deep into the issue. AND they’ve even got a blog (where you’ll see they’re raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s, which still tests on animals, by the way).

Here’s the deal: they clearly have no problem using animals. Their focus is to decrease their impact on the environment and use as many organic, "natural," healthy (according to their definition, which clearly says cheese is really good for you) products, as possible. However, they’re a franchise, and if there’s one near you, it’s a great alternative to cooking for a night (even dessert! They have vegan brownies!), especially if you’ve got a bunch of guests in town. My guests enjoyed it, and for leftovers today I added vegan sausage and pepperoni and even 24 hours later it was a hit!
