Way Cool Ad Competition
Say what you want about PETA (and I happen to NOT be a fan of their campaigns that objectify women, regardless of the reality that people do pay attention to them), but they come up with some great ideas (I didn’t say they’re all great–don’t write me).
I’m a huge fan of a contest they recently had for design students to create an advertisement that focuses on the over 9 billion chickens raised in factory farms each year (one of the ads says 8 billion). Check out the top three winners, and vote for your favorite among the finalists. 700 entries from around the world were received, and clearly the students put a lot of time and energy into their ads. Show them the respect they deserve by checking them out and casting your vote!
